Un livre concernant les voitures de compétition BRM ? Découvrez ici nos ouvrages consacrés à l'histoire, les modèles et la technique des automobiles BRM.BRM V16
Resumé - Few cars of any kind have a more exotic and exciting reputation among enthusiasts than the first BRM, a 16-cylinder wonder machine that was a bright beacon of promise in Britain's drab post-war years. Heralded as a certain race winner and backed by the nation's motor industry, exploiting the seized secrets of the 1930s Germans, the British Racing Motors bid fair to put the UK at the top of the Grand Prix tree. It did come good — producing more than 500 horsepower from 1.5 litres — but only after the Formula 1 for which it was built had expired. From the files of the Ludvigsen Library come more than 150 rare photos of the BRM, one of the handsomest, indeed sexiest, racing cars of all time. Related articles and ephemera round out the story of a bold but ultimately misguided British venture that delivered too much too late.

BRM - The Saga of British Racing Motors (1) - Front Engined Cars 1945-1960
Resumé - This first volume of a planned four-volume set covers BRM's tortured birth, the complexities of the troublesome V16 cars and their replacement with the 4-cylinder 2.5-litre cars of the 1950s.The team's creator Raymond Mays, its great benefactor Alfred Owen and BRM drivers of the calibre of Moss, Fangio, Brooks and Gonzales figure prominently in this remarkable saga, for which the authors have had access to and permission to reproduce documents from the company's private archive.

BRM - The Saga of British Racing Motors (2) - Spaceframe Cars 1959-1965
Resumé - This second volume of a four-volume BRM history takes the story forward into the V8 era with the last of the cars built around a tubular chassis. It covers the most successful period in the Formula 1 team's career, including the World Championship won with Graham Hill in 1962, the first two of his five wins at Monaco and the first two of his three victories in the US Grand Prix at Watkins Glen.
Having access to the BRM company files, the authors have been able to delve deeply into the emotion-charged background to the BRM team's final emergence as a Grand Prix front runner, to their involvement in the Tasman races in Australasia and to their first foray at Le Mans with the Rover-BRM gas turbine cars.
